Large Scale Applications of TK Fuels Products

Whether you run a steel plant, a site which uses industrial boilers or are responsible for mining operations, we have the technology to improove your bottom line and achieve significant emissions reductions.

Diesel Combustion

If your company uses diesel anywhere in its processes, be it in trucks down mines or power generators, Clear mXt is the product to use. In causing the diesel to combust more completely, you can achieve fuel savings and lower emissions (by as much as 95% for particles, 12% for CO and NOx).

Gas Combustion

If your company burns gas as part of its processes, then XPlate can help you to realise economic and environmental benefits:

  • 5%-14% saved in fuel costs and associated carbon footprint reduction
  • Typical ROI of 6 months after installation (based on the minimum saving of 5%)
  • Reductions in particulate emissions and other substances that occur in emissions due to incomplete combustion
  • Backed by world class engineers and consultants

XPlate (Xenogenic Plate) is the result of over 10 years of intense research into the patented molecular Xenogenic-fuel technology. It is a device that is easily installed at locations such as steel plants or any site that uses industrial boilers. Installation requires no down-time whatsoever, because XPlate is installed on the outside of existing pipe work.

Improved combustion efficiency and reduced emissions are achieved through installing XPlate due to its ability to store a natural charge which is then released as fuel or air passes through the treated pipe. This technology has been proved to be effective by many government and private organisations in Europe and Asia. To find out more about XPlate click here.

Coal Combustion - Clinker Production Process

XPlate can be used as part of an energy saving project in the clinker production process. XPlateTM systems are installed at locations of primary section specifically on the coal fuel pipe, air pipe, and primary air fan. Improved combustion efficiency and reduced emissions are achieved through installing the XPlateTM due to its ability to store a natural charge which is then released as fuel or air passes through the treated pipe. Single molecules of oxygen and nitrogen in air and coal are broken from their molecular clusters and can react more efficiently due to the dissipation of electrostatic forces, and could lead to the increase of burning zone temperature approximately 70°C or more.

An important part of a trial is the ability to analyze the results obtained from a vigorous evaluation of the XPlate. Due to the nature of the XPlate technology, it should be possible to see an almost instant effect from the analysis of real-time data collected by onsite computers. The XPlate will be installed at the main burner section. A complete installation of XPlate units will take between one and two hours.

Approximately 30 minutes after complete installation of XPlate systems, the kiln and pre-heater temperature profiles will increase and lead to the reduction of coal used whilst maintaining a steady state and a constant clinker production rate. The benefits of the XPlateTM will be shown within approximately 24 hours of installation. At a steady state, the reduction of coal consumption in tons per hour or the reduction of specific heat consumption of 8% - 12% at the main burner is normally achieved.

For example, with the clinker production of 5,000 tons/day, XPlate is normally able to reduce coal consumption at least 0.70 tons/hour. The coal consumption can be compared between 'with' and 'without' the XPlate. Benefits also include the reduction of CO2 emissions as a result of increase fuel efficiency.

Coal Combustion - Boilers

The application of XPlate to the coal-fired boilers is relatively similar to those for the coal-fired power station. The range of steam production of a coal-fired boiler is normally from 4-30 tons steam/hr. XPlateTM units are installed at the combustion air blower where all air to boiler is treated. Improved combustion efficiency and reduced emissions are achieved through installing XPlate due to its ability to store a natural charge which is then released as coal or air passes through the fans. Single molecules of oxygen and nitrogen in air and coal are broken from their molecular clusters and be more efficiently burnt due to the dissipation of electrostatic forces.

Generally within 5 - 10 minutes after installation, the change of flame is observed. Temperature of the flue gas increases around 80°C and allows the higher production of steam. If steam production remains constant, the reduction of coal consumption is around 8% - 12% or more. Benefits also cover the reduction of CO2 emissions as a result of increase fuel efficiency.

Heavey Fuel Oil

mXt9 is our product for HFO and works in a similar way to Clear mXt. It works on a molecular level to break down the static forces that cause the fuel molecules to cluster together, meaning almost complete combustion and significantly reduced emissions. More complete combustion means lower fuel expenses and an average of 9% fuel savings have been achieved during trials.

Only a tiny amount of mXt9 is needed (1:36,000) to give drastic results, making it both economical and affordable. mXt9 is classed as non-hazardous, making it safe for both personnel and the environment in case of spillage. To find out more about mXt9 click here and in the maritime industry.

A trial was performed at one of the largest wire-steel production companies in Thailand, Bangsapan Barmill Public Company Limited (BSBM), which uses the billets as the steel source. The test was conducted for 4 weeks at their normal working conditions. The average comparison of fuel consumption per ton of product produced between before and after is tabulated below.

Evaluation

Fuel savings for all classifications of the fuel oil are expected.  An important part of the trial period is the ability to analyse the results obtained through a vigorous evaluation of the mXt9.  The effects can often be visible when observing the change in flame length and colour. Or, in the case of an engine, less fuel required for the same power output. mXt9 has been tested in many steel factories and industrial boilers. As part of energy saving tools, mXt9 has significantly improved the combustion efficiency of furnaces and resulted in average savings of fuel oil which are upwards of 5.29%. It also eliminates the smog-forming pollutants, such as black smoke, as well as being able to lower the excess oxygen in flue gas.
