Particulate Matter in Diesel with Clear mXt
The figures below are from tests on a 4 litre non turbo charged diesel engine in a Toyota Landcruiser 100 series. Exactly the same diesel engine and test equipment were used during both sessions. The engine had been running for more than an hour in both tests, so it was fully warmed up. The same source and brand of fuel was used in both instances.
The figures in the table below are in grams of soot per metre squared of exhaust gases, the current Australian standard is 2.5 grams per metre squared.

The engine used in this instance was not excessively smoky without Clear mXt and exceeded current Australian standards. For engines that are currently very smoky, there will be significant reductions in smoke but not as much as with an engine that meets current standards. We suggest a detailed examination by a manufacturer approved mechanic to address the issue. For instance, it may be that the injection systems need re-calibrating to run cleaner.
Australian Client Mini Case Study
Seafox charters is based in Wollongong NSW and operates in waters between Port Stephens and Jervis Bay. Seafox charters operates a reef and game fishing service from Wollongong in NSW, as a business fuel is a major component (more than 30%) of operating costs. Here is their story in the words of the business owner Aaron Bostock.
Benedict McCarthy from TK Fuels Australia first asked me to try this product just on three months ago and like any new product I was a little bit skeptical of the promises that he made, but still interested. Benedict came down for the trial at Wollongong, where we filled the tanks up and added Clear mXt.
Now my boat is a 38ft Dominator with twin 350hp CATS and weighs around 12t . Top speed before the trial 18-20knts. Cruising speed of around 14-15knts @ 2400rpm.
The Trial
From leaving the Harbour I noticed a different sound in the motors and the boat felt a little more punchier in the waves. Getting up to cruise speed @ 2400 rpm she sat on 16.2knts (+ 1.2knts ) which really surprised me. Now at this speed before the test we were using 76Lph . After running for an hour we checked fuel consumption and it had dropped to just on 68 Lph. Which was amazing to say the least. Now calculating total savings over the use of a tank, worked out to be $350 in fuel saving and after deducting the price of mXt from that worked out to be $250.00. And over the year that’s a saving of $3,500.00 off the fuel bill and in to the back pocket.
THREE MONTHS ON….
Now that I have trialed the product for the last 3 months I can honestly say this product is the real deal. My motors have never run so well, fuel consumption is down, and the black residue that was on the back of the boat from the diesel motors is non existent. We did run the boat for one tournament without the additive and couldn’t believe the performance (or lack of ) from the boat and the fuel consumption was back.
